Lifeguard Preparation
Prepared for success!
Service Description
This is a crash course to help anyone learning to quickly qualify for the American Red Cross lifeguard pretest. The current standards of the American Red Cross Lifeguard pretest are: 1) 150 yard swim with rhythmic breathing followed by treading water for 2 minutes without hands then 50 yard swim to finish. 2) A timed diving brick retrieval involving swimming forward, retrieving a 10 lb. diving brick from depth, and swimming back to the edge of the pool with the brick on your chest held in both hands. This is an accelerated learning class for those looking to specifically prepare for the lifeguard pretest in the shortest amount of time possible. You are assumed to already know how to tread water with your hands so that the techniques for handless treading can be quickly covered and practiced. This is not the official American Red Cross lifeguard learning class, this is a preparation for the swimming pre-test that one is required to pass before actually learning the lifeguarding material.
